He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lee Pentecost of Trinity; his daughter Ashley Claborn (Will) of Decatur; his parents, Marvin Pentecost and Juanita Pentecost of Athens; his sisters, Sheri Kinsey of Oklahoma and Felecia Medley of Huntsville; and his granddaughters, Margaret Claborn of Decatur and Charlotte Claborn of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, it was Mr. Pentecost's wish that you consider a donation to the Good Samaritan fund at Bank Independent in his name (James Pentecost) for the purpose of a college fund for his granddaughters, Maisie and Lottie Kate.
