We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2022, at the age of 88, Edith Ellen Batten of Trinity, Alabama, born in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Henry Swanson and Edith Marian Kammer Swanson; her husband Jack Batten; her son Timmy O'Toole; and her son-in-law Timmy Woody.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Lawson (Bobby) of Virginia, Diana Gulley (Gary) of Virginia, Terry Johnson (Mike) of Virginia, Tony Santana (Melody) of Virginia, Mitzi Santana of Virginia and Jackie Hicks (Gabe) of Alabama; and her pets, Biskit and Joey. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
