He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Kirby Way; his sons, Dalton Wayne Way, Michael Dale Logan and Mickey Darryl Logan; and his brothers, Carlton Bruce Way, John Willard Way, Reuel Gene Way and Donald Wayne Way.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Ray McDonald (Judy), James Norman Way (Doris Sapp), Gene Way (Darren Garrison), Kelli Bowling (DeShannon) and Genise Way; his siblings, Dennis Howell Way (Billie) and Annie Marie Anderson; his sisters-in-law, Nettie Archer Way, Melba Burks Way and Carolyn Jones Way Hill; and his grandson Peter Way. He is also survived by other 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
