She was predeceased by: her son Joel Clint Wilks; her parents, Clinton Murphree and Eva Mae Newman Murphree; and her siblings, Keith Murphree and Shelia McDonald.

She is survived by: her husband Ted Wilks; her son Jason Wilks (Megan); her grandchildren, Macy Hodges (Travis), Jordan Wilks and Colton Wilks; and her sister Laura Johnson.
