He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Franklin Young and Alice Young (Jacobs); his wife Betty Young (Laird); his sons, Michael Donell Young and Alan John Young (Teri); his grandchildren, Alex Michael Young and Emily Ann Warr (Jimmy); and his siblings, Basil, Roger, Frank (Dank), Juanita (Nita), Bonnie and Kitty Lou.
Over the past two years, Don experienced some health challenges with a diagnosis of Parkinson's.
