We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2023, at the age of 91, Winnie Lee Sandford of Town Creek, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Bennie Sandford and Elder Harriet Sandford (Dobbins); her siblings, Rob, Joe, Matt Sandford, Fannie Steele, Bettye Gigger and Channie Mitchell; and her children, Elgie Payne and Linda Payne Johnson.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Stovall of Cleveland, Ohio; her children, Dale Payne (Cora) of Trinity, AL, Shirley Woods (Edward Cater) of Town Creek, AL and Harriet Crayton (Adam) of Decatur, AL; her son-in-law Lonnie Johnson of Cleveland, OH; and her extended family Patrick Smith of Spring, TX. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
