He was predeceased by: his wife Lawanda Pool Rucker; his parents, James Rucker and Elsie Rucker; and his siblings, Billy Rucker and Nadine Scott of Moulton.
He is survived by: his daughter Tawanda Rucker; and his siblings, Bobby Rucker of Louisiana, Jerrel Rucker of Illinois and Carolyn Horvath of Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
