He was predeceased by: his father William Goodwin; his wife Dorothy Goodwin; and his sister Faye Goodwin. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Sanderson (Scott), David Goodwin (Cheryl) and Medina Peebles (Rodger); his grandchildren, Laura Lee Wood, Morgan Henley (Justin), Carey Grace Peebles and Shawn Moore; his great grandchildren, Oliver Wood, Brooks Henley, Ivy Baker Henley, Catherine Moore and Stephen Moore; and his siblings, Christine Pitts, Kathleen Hamilton (G. T.), Bettye Kelley and Charles W. Goodwin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Okolona Baptist Church, 6628 County Road 236, Town Creek, AL 35672.
