He was predeceased by: his son Gene Terry, Jr.; his parents, Myrtle Terry and Birdis Terry; and his granddaughter LaShay Terry. He is survived by: his wife Donna Terry; his children, Deanna Terry of Mount Hope, Felicia Terry Hogan (Matt) of Hartselle, Vincent Terry (Rhonda) of Moulton, Shane Terry (Brianne) of Florence and Jason Terry of Town Creek; and his pets, Furball, Killer, Tiger, Patty and Cooper. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other extended family.
