He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Whiteley; his children, Charles and Laura Beth Shockney (Robert); his grandchildren, Knight, Gracie, Hope, Faith and Charles, Jr.; his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth; and his brother Gary Mathis. He is also survived by one sister, Joan Quick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
