It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Compton Potts (Toney, Alabama), who passed away on April 29, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Pamela M. Smart and Robert L. Moon; her parents, Clayton Compton and Eleanor Compton; and her brothers, Richard, Donald, Kenneth and William.
She is survived by: her husband Doug Potts; her children, Steven Moon (Teresa), Bruce Moon (Maria) and Kim Sampson (Dennis); and her sister Carolyn Childress (Jim). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren.
