He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wiley Lee Haynes and Mable Howard Haynes; his wife Patricia Haynes; his son Steven Haynes; his son-in-law Phillip Schrimsher; and his siblings, Estelle Abernathy, Linda Richardson, Raymond Haynes and Teddy Haynes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynnese Schrimsher of Toney, AL, LaDonna McCafferty (Jeff) of Harvest, AL and Rochelle Haynes (Edsel Hogan) of Harvest, AL; his sister Cathy Putman; and his grandchildren, Amanda Blackmon (Michael), Zachary Schrimsher (Megan), Jessica Flores (Abby), Kristen Tremonti (David), Christopher Mooney, Ryan Mooney (Chelsea), Logan Mooney (Candace), Jeremy Hogan (Tiffany), Ashley Hogan, Andrew Haynes, Heather Haynes and Joshua Haynes. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Huntsville Memory Gardens (6810 University Drive NW, Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL 35806).
