He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Edward Carlson, Sr. and Eletha Beatrice Purvis Carlson; his siblings, Johnny Carlson, Matilda Browning and Constance Brady; and his grandsons, Pete Darlin and Cory Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Keisler (Wade) of Lexington, SC, Kim Darlin of Toney, AL, BJ Carlson-Sells (Jim) of Toney, AL and Teresa Mathews (Michael) of Sulphur Springs, TX; his sister Bobbie Browning of Arcadia, FL; and his grandchildren, Jason Areheart (Megan), Crystal Gardner (Guy), Karlee Shirley (David) and Kason Mathews. He is also survived by Many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
