He was predeceased by: his parents, Pettus Dempsey and Margie Adams Dempsey; and his wife Rita Dempsey. He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Usery and Jessica Cluxton (Brandon). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
