He is survived by: his wife Charmaine Hovis; his children, Chandra Hovis, Justin Hovis, Jaime Akridge (Jayson) and Codi Hummel (Justin); and his siblings, Jane Stinnett (Chuck) and Buford Hovis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
