He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret Abernathy; his children, Kevin Abernathy (Jennifer), Angie Tate and Tracy Abernathy; and his siblings, Ann Travis, Bobby Abernathy, Murphy Abernathy and Perry Abernathy. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
