She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clifton McElyea and Ruby Jewel Whitehead McElyea; and her siblings, Douglas McElyea, Frankie McElyea and Margie Mooney.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Claridy of Alabama; her sons, Kenny Harbin of Decatur and Randy Harbin of Toney; her stepson Michael Claridy of Toney; and her brother Ronnie McElyea of Fayetteville. She is also survived by eight grand children well as ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
