It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dale Guffey Sr. of Toney, Alabama, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Guffey and Lois Guffey; and his sisters, Diane Guffey and Loretta Stafford. He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Lee Guffey; his children, Dale Guffey, Jr. (Anne), Dixie Cloud (Joe) and Dan Guffey (Lisa); his grandchildren, Josh Guffey (Melissa), Bethany Tidwell (Johnathan), Tiffany Jefferson (Taylor), April Zimmerman, Rachel Demerath (Tim), Jesse Guffey (Mary), Elisha Guffey, Joseph Guffey and Benji Guffey; and his sister Sue Evans of Land O'Lakes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Life Church (2300 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35801). The lying in state will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at the Neal's Chapel Cemetery.
