He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn McAnnally; his parents, Clearon McAnnally and Anne L. McAnnally; and his sisters, Faye West and Sarah Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Shaffer (Bart), Dee Hartley (Tim) and Donald "Donnie" McAnnally, Jr. (Sharon); his grandchildren, Brittney Barber, Courtney Cyr (David), Torrie McKee (Jason), TJ Hartley (Madison), Donald W. McAnnally, III, JoBeth Hartley and Kelsey Williams (Clay); his great grandchildren, Wyatt McKee, Luke Hartley, Mallie McKee, Bennett Williams, Harrison Hartley and Charlee Barber-Rosa; and his siblings, Butch McAnnally (Brenda) and Pam Reed (Charles). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
