George Gipson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Gipson of Tibbie, Alabama, born in Franklin, Tennessee, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George William Gipson and Mildred Ward Gipson; his sister Linda Joy Lee; and his stepgrandchild Breanna Bumgarner. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bumgarner Gipson; his children, Mark Edward Gipson (Susie) and Sandy Kay Martin (Rob); his grandchildren, DeAnna Helms (Steven), Casey Gipson, Carmen Walker and Ryan Walker; his stepchildren, Machelle Farley (Wayne) and Michael Bumgarner (Toisha); his stepgrandchildren, Beth Wheeler, Brittney Underwood (Brian), Timbra Bumgarner and Chris Bumgarner; and his siblings, Rev. Billy Gipson (Teresa), Ricky Gipson and Susan Hosay. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Humane Society or Washington County Hospital.
