He was predeceased by: his parents, Evie Childress (Donna Childress) and Robert Lee Childress; his daughters, Tiffany Cleckley and Trinity Childress; and his brothers, Ted Childress and Lymon Childress.

He is survived by: his granddaughters, Cheyenne Escareno (Elias), Chaley Bray (Riley) and Channah Cleckley; his great grandchild Elias Escareno, Jr.; and his sister Sue Dutton.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
