He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellis Ward and Margie Ree Allday Ward; and his brother James Marvin Ward. He is survived by: his wife Carole Ward of Thorsby; his children, Michele Sanders of Knoxville, TN, Darryl Ward of Orlando, FL and Rodney Ward of Biloxi, MS; his grandchildren, Ellen Coffman, Christopher Ward, Beth Tuesburg, Tyler Ward, Kelsey Ennis, Emily Ward, Elise Ward, Nathan Ward, Alivia Ward and Joshua Ward; and his sister Martha Martin of Brandon, MS.. He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution in Sonny's memory to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice in Alabaster, AL.
