He is survived by: his mother Edith Liveoak Benson of Thorsby; his wife Brenda Patterson of Thorsby; his daughter Sabrina Patterson (Keith Taylor) of Thorsby; his brother Joe Patterson (Barbie) of Thorsby; and his stepsons, Derek Smitherman (Kristi) of Thorsby, Anthony Smitherman (Wendy) of Pelham and Jay Smitherman (Deidra) of Clanton. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren.
