He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hollis Pate and Myrtle Irene Tolbert Pate; and his brother Joe Alvin Pate. He is survived by: his wife Linda Moates Pate of Thorsby; his daughters, Monica Linn Pate of Thorsby and Danyelle Pate (Jeff) of Thorsby; his grandchildren, Brandon Keith Pate (Miranda) of Thorsby and Bailey Nicole Ray of Auburn; and his great grandchildren, Brinleigh Klaire Pate of Thorsby, Karter Brooks Pate of Thorsby and Makenna Rena Pate of Thorsby.
