With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Robert Payton (Thorsby, Alabama), born in Clanton, Alabama, who passed away on May 11, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Jones Payton and George Robert "Buddy" Payton, Sr.; and his mother-in-law Lois Plier. He is survived by: his wife Frances Payton; his children, Robby Payton and Julie Payton; his grandson Ashton Basler; his sister Cindy Bates (Jay); his nephew Jason Bates (Laura); his niece Mary Ruth Ganus (Mark); his father-in-law James Plier; his brother-in-law Jimmy Plier (Kathy); and his nephew Kris Plier (Stephany). He is also survived by true friends looked at him as a father and a brother.
