She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Dement and Cora Mae Ott Dement; and her siblings, Walter G. Dement, Leo Dement, Grady Dement, Jr., Annie R. Gaddy and Betty Mercer.
She is survived by: her husband William Russell Shoemaker; and her children, William Russell Shoemaker, Jr. (Megan) and Sherry Elaine Champion. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery (1939 Midway Rd, Thomasville, AL 36784).
