It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Combs of Theodore, Alabama, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen Combs to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Robertson and Jennie Robertson. She is survived by: her husband Tony Combs (Combs); her siblings, Mickey Robertson (Nancy) and Anita Whitfield (Billy); her children, Christy Kent (Kevin) and T. C. Combs (Corey); and her grandchildren, Lauren Bahos (Blake), Weston Combs, John Kent and Megan Kent.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in the form of contributions to The Larry Kent Memorial Foundation or to USA Children's and Women's Hospital.

“Karen was an inspiration to my son as his Chorale Director at Theodore High School. He was in Chorale for all four years of high school. I was her roommate when we traveled to Birmingham and Tuscaloosa for the Chorale concerts and their attendance in music studies. Karen was a fine Christian lady, who loved her family and her students. She will be missed by many and she is singing in the Heavens with the Angels. I wrote this with a heavy heart, your friend, Lynne Thrower or known as Casey’s Mom.”
