He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jane Boozer Brand; his parents, James Bethel and Lula Shirley Brand; his sister Catherine Brand; and his grandson Andrew Brand.

He is survived by: his son Mike Brand (Pam); his siblings, Dorothy Brand Shirley (Johnny) and Larry C. Brand (Josephine); his granddaughter Rebecca Brand Redmond (Nathan); and also Jennifer Brand. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arbors at St. Martins in the Pines or The Amelia Center.
