He is survived by: his wife Martha Jean Mitchell; his children, Adam Mitchell, Leann Talley (Steve), Damian Stokes (Deidre) and Joseph Stokes; and his grandchildren, Brian Stokes, Deanna Talley (Josh Argo), Stephen Talley, Brittney Stokes, Brookelyn Stokes, Bradley Stokes (Sam), Alyssa Stokes, Tyler Stokes, Madison Stokes, Dalton Mitchell, Kaitlyn Pippins (Chris), Cassidy Mitchell and Noah Mitchell. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew.
