He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Slaughter Butler and Ned, Sr. Butler; and also Ned Nile Butler, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Butler; his children, Michael Butler (Leigh Anne), Beth Royster and Kami Scarborough (Joey); his brother Robin Butler (Penny); and his grandchildren, Brittan Moseley, Georgia Anne Butler, Brooke Royster, Jack Butler, Daniel Butler, Virginia Kate Scarborough, Tillman Scarborough and Steven Scarborough.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Tallassee Methodist Church (101 Central Blvd, Tallassee, AL 36078). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
