It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Taylor Johnson of Tallassee, Alabama, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Hixie Powell Taylor; her husband Doyle Johnson; her children, Rodney Johnson and Denise Taylor (Billy); her father Melvin Taylor, Sr.; her brothers, Melvin Taylor, Jr. (Judy), Tommy Taylor, Paul Taylor and Dale Taylor; and her siblings-in-law, Martin Sherer and Kathy Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Johnson Lynn (Eric); her siblings, Susie Griggs (Noah), Mary Sherer, Martha Crim, Grady, Bone, Carl Taylor and Mark Taylor (Amy); her sisters-in-law, Jane Taylor and Peggy Taylor; her grandchildren, Justin Ledbetter, Lauren Ledbetter, Elijah Lynn (Tiffany), Ryan Johnson (Ashley), Brooke Lane (John), Rachel Griffin (Phillip) and Rebekah "Bekah" Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Addelyn, Olivia Johnson, Madelyn Dunaway and Dallas Ann Lynn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
