He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Hammock and Curt Hammock. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Burton (Jason), Stacy Chambliss (Alicia) and Amanda Shook (Ray); his grandchildren, Katlyn Coan (Jacob), Tanner Glass (Emlyn), Harmony and Andrew Shook; his great grandchildren, Kollins, River Coan and Oaklen Glass; and his siblings, Judy Nunn, Mike Hammock and Charles Hammock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
