He was predeceased by: his siblings, Claudie Lou Cantrell, Jesse Floyd Partain, Hattie Armel Tidwell and Sylvia Wayne Daniel. He is survived by: his son Larry Steven Partain of Tallassee; his wife Debbie Jean Bush; his brother-in-law Paul Bush; and his niece Julia Bush Nelson. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
