He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Edwards Elliott; and his son John Scott Elliott. He is survived by: his children, Jason Elliott (Daphne), Renee Broach, Rhonna Funderburk (Roy) and Robbie Ivey (Bud); his siblings, Samuel Elliott and Elizabeth Wassman; his grandsons, John Broach, James Broach, Rodney Ivey, Ethan Ivey and Matt Elliott; and his daughter-in-law Irma.
His unselfish nature was shown by his donations to VFW fund raisers and the Salvation Army.
