He is survived by: his sister Judy Coan; his son Herbert Jack Golden III; his wife Rebecca Golden; his daughter Ashley Newman; his daughter-in-law Kristy; his grandchildren, Rachel Martin (Cody) and Andrew Golden (Gee); and his great grandchildren, Lilly James Martin and Lyla Dale Martin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Methodist Church of Tallassee (1 Jordan Ave, Tallassee, AL 36078). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
