He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer D. Smith and Olive "Ollie" Whitaker Smith; his brother Tony Smith; and his daughter Janice Renea Smith. He is survived by: his wife Ann Smith of Beulah, AL; his daughters, Kimley Wilkins (Chuck) of Beulah, AL and Tammy Whorton (David) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Dr. Andrew Wilkins (Tayler) of Auburn, AL, Peyton (Jacob), Taylor of Midland, TX and Baylen Whorton of Athens, GA; his great grandchildren, River James Wilkins and MaryTodd Wilkins of Auburn, AL; his sister Lorraine (Roger) Hepburn; and his sister-in-law Clara Sanders of Dadeville, AL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
