With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Jean McLain (Tallassee, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Ray Bridgman and Eula Jean (Champion); and her brother Brewer Melton. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sanford McLain; her children, Joely Stewart (Jason McLain), Heather Bass (Gary McLain) and Shawn McLain (Hannah McLain); her brothers, Pete Bridgman (Wanda), Tim Melton (Cheryl), Ronnie Melton (Jeanine) and Darryl Melton (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Lindsey Pescia (Jody Hughes), Ashley Montiforte (Lanier Stewart), Hunter Stever (Macey Stewart), Braxton McLain (Ford Bass) and Dylan McLain (Lucas McLain). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem East Baptist Church (7561 Upper River Rd, Tallassee, AL 36078). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
