Betty Jane Park Watkins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 95, Betty Jane Park Watkins of Tallassee, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin R. Watkins. She is survived by: her children, Susan Floyd Dyer (Ronnie) and Danny Watkins (Linda); her grandchildren, Chrissy Floyd Snead, Pat Floyd, Kassie Floyd South, Megan Watkins Schaffner (Aaron), Wes Spencer (Brittany) and Reid Spencer (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Abbie Snead, Keagan Floyd, Porter, Griffin South, Parker, Trace, Annie Jane Schaffner, Austin and Bailey Spencer. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Methodist Church of Tallassee (1 Jordan Ave, Tallassee, AL 36078). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Flowers are welcome, and donations in Betty's honor may be made to the Tallassee Music Department for the Ed Watkins Award, a tribute to her husband's enduring legacy.
