We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2021, at the age of 84, Betty Hammonds of Tallassee, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd M. Hammonds; her parents, Lois C. Hammonds and David C. Cartwright; her stepfather Walter Hammonds; her siblings, Blanche Matlock and David F. Cartwright; and her stepchildren, Mary Jo Davis, Dorothy Conner, Roy Hammonds and Rusty.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Bowen (Mack), David "Butch" Hammonds (Kandy), Timothy "Tim" Hammonds (Wanda) and Becky Peters (Tracey); her stepdaughter Margaret Bunn; and her sister Gloria Harper (John). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
