He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wingo; his children, Anita Miller (Jim), Randy Gillichbauer (Melody) and Nickolas Gillichbauer (Julie); and his sister Emogine Pettis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
