He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Bates (Glenn); his grandchildren, Rachel Moody and Tialisa Englebrecht; his brother Jerrell Lawley; his grandchildren, Bradley Bates, Brandon Bates and Christina Holman; and his great grandchild Lisa Bates.
