With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mildred June Stathelson of Talladega, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Steve Stathelson, Sr.; her son Elder James Steve Stathelson, Jr.; her parents, James Johnson and Beatrice Johnson; and her brother Thomas C. Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Cordes (Barry); her grandchildren, Nikolaus Cordes (Jessica), Landon Cordes (Tania) and Ben Cordes (Hillery); her great grandchildren, Joshua Cordes, Jonathan Cordes, Anna Cordes and Zadie Cordes; her sister Jeanette Zachero; and her friend Muriel Goldberg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in Mrs. Stathelson's name to Beulah Primitive Baptist Church (c/o Deacon Keith Skinner, 3121 Daniel Drive, Moody, Alabama 35004).
