She was predeceased by: her mother Willie Mae Ferguson; her brothers, Willie Gene Ferguson and Edgar Ray Ferguson; and her son-in-law Danny Wideman. She is survived by: her nephew Willie Neal Ferguson; her husband James E. Denton; her daughter Daphne Wideman; her granddaughters, Haley Johnson (Alex) and Heather Wideman; her great grandchildren, Brooks, Tenley and Cooper Johnson; and her siblings, Connie Jones (Bill), Donna Smith (James), Patricia Wade (Phillip) and Terry Wayne Langley (Gail).

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to West End Church of God in Talladega.
