She was predeceased by: her daughter Dianne McArthur; and her parents, Clyde Jones and Ruby Jones. She is survived by: her husband Gene Suttle; her sons, Douglas Holmes, Steven Holmes (Loretta) and Richard Holmes (Stacy Dodd); her grandchildren, Daniel McArthur, Jason Holmes, Steven Holmes, Kristin Holmes, Michael Holmes, Dustin McArthur, Douglas Holmes Jr. and Josh Holmes; her siblings, Jeanette Binford and Edward Jones; and her son-in-law David McArthur. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City (21271 US-231, Pell City, AL 35125). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International or a local animal rescue organization in Doris's honor.
