He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Self and Annie Ruth Self; his brothers, Jackie, Roy, Billy Joe and John Self; and his daughter Rhonda Deaton.
He is survived by: his wife Suzy Self; his son David Self (Angel); his brother Charles Self; his son-in-law Scott Deaton; and his grandchildren, Joshua Deaton (January), Suzanna Deaton, Abby Evans (Tony), Logan Self and Cole Self. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
