He was predeceased by: his father William Kipping; and his brother Curtis Kipping. He is survived by: his wife Jana Kipping; his mother Vickie Kipping; his children, Bryant Watts, Nichols Kipping, Christopher T. Kipping, Elaina Roberts, Claire Roberts, Brylee Kipping and Baylee Kipping; his siblings, Sean Kipping (Patricia), Sara Grawe (Steve), Margaret Cannady (Dave) and Ruth Boden (Bryan); and his grandson Braxton Hummel.

The family has asked that donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
