It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Andrew Gortney (Talladega, Alabama), who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy "Pete" Gortney and Sandy Gortney; and his grandmother Jeanette Birchfield. He is survived by: his wife Tiffany Gortney; his sons, Colby, Braxton and Rylan Gortney; his siblings, Daniel Gortney and April Sirmans (Zach); his nephew Jacob Sirmans; his grandparents, Henry "Jimmy", Brenda Gortney, Paul and Shirley Birchfield; his brother-in-law Todd Blackburn; and his close friends, Chance and Danielle Haywood.
