He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Wooten and Mildred Wooten; and his sisters, Judy Bates and Helen Jones. He is survived by: his wife Doris M. Wooten; his children, Denise Sawyer (Patrick), Becky Jenkins (Ken), Lesa Griffin (Robert), Belinda Maddox (Bruce), Shelly Pruitt (Shane) and Chase Simpson; his grandchildren, Joseph Whitehead, Lexie Pruitt, Tanner Griffin, Jaxton Simpson, Maelynn Simpson and Calvary Simpson; his great grandchild Cohen Whitehead; his siblings, Jeanette Gambrell, Joyce Looney, Jerry Wooten and Larry Wooten (Laurie); and his pets, Gabby and Spot. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Usrey Funeral Home Chapel (516 North St E, Talladega, AL 35160). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Wooten's family asks that donations be made in his honor to Immanuel Baptist Church, 66471 AL Highway 21, Talladega, AL 35160.
