It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Elizabeth Tilley Patterson of Sylvania, Alabama, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Luther Patterson; her parents, Dallas Tilley and Minnie Tilley; and her brothers, Clyde, LaVance and Johnny Tilley.

She is survived by: her daughters, Aletha Bowen (Steve) of Fort Payne and Laura Houk (Eddie) of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Price Lawrence (Jessica) of Lacey's Spring, Madison Bowen (Kayla) of Huntsville, Landry Bowen of Fort Payne, Clay Houk and Anna Ford (Forrest); her great grandchildren, Litton of Huntsville and Ann Collins Ford of Huntsville; and her siblings, Dallyne Jones of Mentone, Glenn Tilley (Anna) of Henagar and Joe Tilley (Jewell) of Greenville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Those attending are asked to wear masks and adhere to social distancing protocols.

The family also requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Heartlite Hospice Promise Foundation, 111 East Laurel Street.
