He was predeceased by: his son Douglas Jeffrey Poer; and his brothers, Lester, Cecil Poer and Wallace Poer. He is survived by: his wife Mary G. Poer; his sons, Roger Poer (Renae), Michael Poer (Angel) and Christopher Poer; his grandchildren, Shane (April), Jason, Adam, Lindsey, Natalie (Elex), Blake (Abbey), Elijah, Eden and Ezekiel; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Max and Haley Grace; and his brother Woodrow Poer (Christine). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
